Took Lorraine to the Optometrist today. Lorraine and I looked through some books while waiting to see the Doctor. One book had alot of dogs in it. She pointed out the German Shepard and said that is the dog she grew up with, and asked if I remembered the Collie that I grew up with. I told Lorraine that I don't recall having a Collie. She said, sure you do, remember we would play with him down in your cellar. At that time I realized Lorraine was thinking I was her best friend growing up, Katherine. I asked her my name and she said, Katherine. I said, I am your grandaughter. She said, oh, your sister is Erlene. I said, my sister is Deanna, I think you might think I am your best friend because I visit you so often, she said, I think you are right. This is not the first time Lorraine has thought I was Katherine. It has been going on for about 3 weeks.
Doctor Cowling did several test on her eyes. He said all in all her eye look really good. He gave her some drops for her eyes to help with the droopiness of her lower lids. He said that is caused by dry eyes. The assistant ajusted Lorraine's glasses, they were loose on her face.
