Heaven gained and Angel!

Lorraine Isobell (Sismey) Hoff, age 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 9:25am at Solaris Healthcare in Merritt Island, FL. She was born on May 14, 1922, in Winnipeg, Canada.

Lorraine grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Her employment included Sanders Parlor, Greyhound Bus in 1942 until after WWII. In 1957 she worked for Chrysler Corporation in Trenton, Michigan and was transferred to Cape Kennedy, FL in 1968 and retired in 1980 as a secretary to the Plant Director. She also worked at Rol Manufacturing in Orlando for 15 years. Lorraine enjoyed going to church at Aloma United Methodist Church in Winter Park and Grace UMC in Merritt Island. She moved to Cocoa, FL in March of 2014 to join her granddaughter, Dorothy Dickey’s family. Lorraine enjoyed volunteering at Aloma UMC and at the Florida Historical Society. She resided at Solaris HealthCare in Merritt Island for 5 years.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred John Sismey of England and Minetta Bouchard of Canada; sisters Bernadine Evans and Yvonne Mullins, former spouse Orlo “Chick” Hoff and step-daughter, Patricia Ann (Hoff) Jackson.

Lorraine is survived by: nieces, Judy (Jim) Alred of Flat Rock, MI, and Sandra (Bob) Humphrey of Vero Beach, FL; nephew, Donnie Evans of Vero Beach, FL.

step-sons, Duane (Ella) Grimm, Olive Hill, KY and David (Faye) Hoff of Inverness, FL; step-daughters, Shirley Bass of Deland, FL, and Valerie Hoff, of Palm Bay, FL.

Step-grandchildren: Robert Duane (Denise) Grimm, Robin (Stelbert) Russell, Lorraine (Brett) Gess, Neil (Lisa) Grimm, Deanna Runyan (Gary), Dorothy Dickey (Duane), Jonathan (Debbie) and Brian Bass (Amanda), Corey (Susan) and Levi (Kristy) Hoff , Kim Hauter and Jacque Bennett.

Step-great-grandchildren: Joseph Duane (Mindy) and Kyle Grimm, Charles Grimm, Conrad Russell, Jared (Dana), Paul & Robin Gess, Cameron Grimm, Randall & Ryan Hauter, Joshua (Jennifer) Crispell, Brittany Dickey (Cameron Rachu) and Lindsey Dickey, Steven Runyan (Allison), Carter Bass, Sydney Hoff, Bryson and Peyton Hoff.

Step-great-great-grandchildren, Matt Grimm, Dalton Grimm, Reese Rachu and Everleigh Hoff.

Best friends, Phyllis Mills & Roberta Rudd, and many other beloved family & friends.

Per Lorraine’s request she will be sent to her final resting place at Michigan Memorial in Flat Rock, MI, with no viewing or service. Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care in Rockledge, FL are in charge of arraignments.
