Broken Right Ankle

Lorraine fell yesterday morning at Solaris Healthcare Merritt Island. When the paramedics arrived at the hospital and opened the doors Lorraine saw me and smiled and waved. She was in good spirits. They did x-rays and told me it was a fracture and that she would need surgery. Not today but in a few days. They put a splint on it and we were out of there. In and out of there in an hour.

Today we saw the Orthopedic Surgeon and she told me it looks like there are 2 breaks, one is possibly a well healed one. I told her she broke an ankle in 2004, however, I was not sure which one. The x-ray also shows something going on with her Tibia bone, maybe Osteoporosis. They will do another x-ray next week at her next appointment. She is getting around in an wheel chair.
